How will a high school history book in 2050 describe what occurred in Iraq?

Dr. Ottaway:
"I doubt that they will represent Iraq as a glorious page in US history."

Dr. Bahry:
"Iraq was invaded by the Mongols in the 13th century. The Ottoman Empire colonized Iraq in the 16th century. This era should be seen as a dark era in Iraq's history as what we have is a low level civil war. In those prior times, the Iraqi's were fighting the invaders, not each other."
